BOARD OF DIRECTORS
THARA SINGH CHAIRPERSON
Thara since completing her diploma from Unisa for the institute of bookkeepers and A Business Management Diploma through Damelin joined Shenton in 1984.
Thara has been directly involved with the company for well over 38 years before assuming control of the business in 2016.
MICHAEL HARIPERSADH
Michael Joined Shenton in 2017 having spent well over 20 years in the Financial Services sector leaving Momentum as Regional Manager having received his full FAIS qualification during this time.
He joined Shenton as General Manager and was appointed to the Board of Directors as Sales Director in 2021
TERRENCE SINGH
Terrence graduated from Unisa in 2015 BCOM Marketing joined Shenton in 2016 and worked through the business gaining valuable practical hands-on experience before joining the board in 2021 as the marketing Director
BRIDGNUND SINGH
Bridgnund comes from an engineering background having worked with Van dam Engineering for over 30 years gaining practical and managerial experience during that time.
He then left to start his own Engineering Business which he later sold and then joined Shenton in an operational capacity once Thara assumed full control of the business.
He was recently appointed in 2021 to the board of directors as Operations Director.
PETER MATHER
Peter (born in the UK) moved to South Africa in 1996 having graduated with a BSC in Business Administration from The London University in 1995.
In 2001 he opened SMI Dynamics and through a worldwide franchise worked in the field of Leadership for well over 15 years with many large corporates and Smme’s before opening Masakhane FET with his partner Sihle Nzuza in 2010.
At the end of 2021 Peter was invited by Thara Singh to join the Board of Directors for The Shenton Group.
MANAGEMENT TEAM
MISHON MOHABIR
Following His Passion for mechanical engineering and having spent over 12 years in the Marine Engineering Field Mishon joined Shenton valves in 2017 as part of the management team in the Workshop.
After 2 years he was promoted to Technical Sales Manager of Shenton Valves and in 2022 was appointed as Technical Sales Manager of the Shenton Group.
ANDRE KOTZE
Andre joined Shenton in 2008 as a machinist/Artisan . He previously qualified as an Artisan whilst employed by Natal Pipe and Valve .
Today he is The Factory Manager and runs a team of 43 unskilled and skilled employees.
WALTER PIETERSE
Started his apprenticeship with Doug Alridge Engineering and qualified as an Artisan/Machinist before joining Plaschem in 1987.
Walter Joined Shenton in 2017 as the Site Manager running teams on different clients’ sites.
ROBERT MBUYAZI
Joined Shenton under Mr Shenton’s ownership in 1992 as an unskilled employee and today he is the Foreman in the factory.
EMANUEL BUTHELEZI
Joined Shenton under Mr Shenton’s ownership in 1995 and is currently specialising in Supporting Quality Control with Andre and his team.
KWAZI MOTOLO
Joined Shenton in 2019 from Valve Mech and is currently a site supervisor/foreman.
